It is said not too many people received this award during the war years. He jumped ship in Australia around the early fifties. He was a descendent from the white Russian heritage. There is also three or two sisters, one had her own hairdressing shop in or around Quebec, Canada, and one sister was a bit slow. The reason for background check is to locate my half siblings, to inform them of his passing. He was bombed out of the water during the war four to five times. He was under a Captain who really hated sharks, maybe this might jog someones memory. His height was approx. 5 foot 4 inches to 5 foot 6 inches. He was very ingenuous in developing gadgets! for improving things, he never patented them, but people who knew him claimed the inventions. He had fine brown hair, when he was young.
