Other Information : Private Bernard Connors was my uncle and I am conducting family research and would be interested in contacting any member of the Leicestershire who may have remembered him, details are as follows:- Bernard Connors enlisted at Nottingham with the General Services Corps supplementary reserve on 16.03.1937 and was posted to depot. On 19.03.1937 was posted to North Staffordshire Regiment for training, he then enlisted with the regular Army, Leicestershire Regiment on 09.03.1938 and posted to the 2nd Battalion on 29.04.1938 he was then posted overseas to Palestine on 15.09.1938. From information that I have received, it would appear that Bernard took his own life on 19.05.1939 and is buried at a Military Cemetery in Ramie, Palestine. I would be grateful if there are any servicemen who remember Bernard and fill me in on his life in the Armed Forces.
